Algeria: three Islamists sentenced to death in absentia

The criminal court at Teizi Ozo ( the tribes area, 100 KM to the east of the capital Algiers ) on Tuesday sentenced to death in absentia three Islamists.
He Algerian news agency said on Wednesday that the three convicted are accused of being members " in an armed terrorist group, of committing acts of killings and in setting fires." The three men: Muhammad Suleimani, Ahmad Ribhi and Abdul Qader Bu Abdullah from Khedda, near Teizi Ozo are involved in installing a false barrier on December 13, 1998 on the regional road near Dera' al-Maizan where they killed two persons and burnt two buses.
