New British campaign to enhance Alexandria Library role

In answer to Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak's invitation to UNESCO to make Alexandria's Library a gathering place for peoples and cultures, Alexandria's Library Friendship Association based in Britain is launcheing a new campaign.
The campaign aims at enhancing the role of the Alexandria Library to remain an inter link amongst cultures. The association decided to print a huge book on Arab masterpieces in the British library.
Association Secretary David Wardrob, said that proceeds of book sale would be dedicated to give Alexandria Library valuable microfiches comprising 14,000 Arab manuscript and documents.
