Iran to provide Kuwait 200 million gallons of drinking waters

The Saudi daily al-Watan said on Tuesday that Iran will provide Kuwait with 200 million gallons of drinking waters every day.

The paper added quoting source at the British company for civil engineering that the company which leads a group of European companies had signed a contract to erect pipelines from Iran to Kuwait in order to provide the latter with the said amounts of waters.

The paper added that the companies group will implement the project by the beginning of 2002 through 330 KM in the Iranian territories and 21- KM under the waters of the Gulf.

It was decided that the British company will be responsible for the necessary financing and that it will get the license of operating the said pipeline for 30 years, against obtaining operation fees and consumer bills. The total cost of the project is US $ 2 billion.
