Jordanian air company promotes low prices for flights to Iraq
Jordan-Iraq, Economics, 12/5/2000
A Jordanian commercial air company said on Sunday it has started cutting price of travel tickets to Baghdad by 30 percent, reports Kuwaiti news agency KUNA. In the weekend, Jordan's national airlines, Royal Jordanian (RJ), concluded a round trip, with 19 passengers on board, to Baghdad on a humanitarian commercial flight.
Speaking at a news conference, the company general manager said this step was a manifestation of solidarity with the Iraqi people. He added that the company started to stage flights to Baghdad after Jordanian prime minister Ali Abul Ragheb visited the Iraqi capital early November.
