Health department gets 50 ambulances from the European Union

The European Union (EU) delivered Monday the health department a batch of 50 ambulances as part of the project "Support to maternal and neo-natal health in Morocco." Minister Khyari said the vehicles will boost the country's ambulance fleet and help meet some of the needs of rural areas in obstetrical and neo-natal emergency transportation.
EU ambassador to Rabat Lucio Guerrato said European intervention in the projects extends to rehabilitation of 20 hospital maternity wards, supply of modern technology for technical platforms, health vocational training, purchase of basic drugs and contraceptive products and population information on safe maternity principles.
