Morocco, Germany sign agreement for construction of hotel in southwestern Morocco

Morocco and Germany signed in Berlin on Tuesday an agreement for the construction of a big hotel in the Atlantic city of Agadir for an investment worth $ 25.4 million.
The hotel, with a 960 bed capacity, will be completed in two or three years.
The agreement was signed by Moroccan economy, finance and tourism minister, Fathallah Oualalou, and member of the administrative board of the German tour operator "Condor Und Neckermann," Willi Schoppen.
Moroccan premier, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, on an official visit to Germany, attended the signing ceremony.
The 4-star hotel will extend over 4.5 hectares.
Out of the 40 million German tourists, Morocco receives an annual 240,000.
Following the signing ceremony, the Moroccan premier told a group of tour operators the agreement, the first German investment in Morocco in the sector, will mark a "new turning point and give a new impetus to cooperation between the two countries."
