Jordan returned poisonous wastes to Israel
Jordan-Israel, Environment, 12/4/2000
Jordan at last could return back some 150 tons of items suspected to be poisonous chemical wastes to Israel that Israel had transported to the Jordanian side of the borders illegally and refused to return it back despite the repeated Jordanian requests and protest to transport this shipment to Jordan.
An official source at the Jordanian ministry of commerce last week told reporters that returning back the shipment to israel was made gradually as from Sunday until Monday morning.
Earlier the Jordanian minister of commerce and industry Wasef Azar said that his country is making contacts with israel in order to return back to it some 150 tons of poisonous chemical wastes that were brought illegally to Jordan in August.
