UN General Assembly passes four resolutions on Palestine
The UN General Assembly underlined the necessity of enforcing the intact rights of Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and demanded an Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territories occupied in 1967.

Some 10,000 Palestinians killed or wounded by Israel in al-Aqsa Intifada
UNICEF has announced that some 310 Palestinians including 97 children were killed and other 9802 wounded by the Israeli bullets in the clashes with the Israeli occupation forces since the eruption of the Intifada in the occupied palestinian territories since September 28.

UN committee hails human rights promotion initiatives in Morocco
The committee cited in particular the creation of a human rights ministry, the Human Rights Advisory Council and plans to launch the Ombudsman institution in Morocco. Listing other positive steps, the committee went on the enforcement in 1997 of a national women emancipation strategy and the crafting of an action plan for women integration in development, the dissemination of provisions of the international human rights conventions in the judiciary system and ongoing efforts to alleviate indebtedness.

A French plane belong to the " Eyvelle Azure " company arrived on Friday evening to Baghdad in a direct flight from Paris with 110 figures on its board. The flight was organized by the organization world children, human rights and international coordination to lift the embargo imposed on Iraq, as a sign of solidarity with this country.

Some six persons were killed and other four were strongly injured when a two level building collapsed on Friday evening in in al-Labban quarters in the eastern sector of Alexandria. The source added that among the killed were a child ( 6 year old), two women and the son of the baker who was selling bread before al-Iftar time.The police explained that the collapse was a result of heavy rainfall Egypt has been witnessing since the beginning of the week.

Morocco's date production is scheduled to reach this year 74,000 tons, say estimates of the agriculture, rural development and water and forest ministry. The output, marking a 2% increase compared to last year, is grown mainly in the central regions of Ouarzazate and Errachidia which provide 90% of national production.
