Syria joins the agreement to establish the International Criminal Court

Syria on Wednesday joined the agreement provided for the establishment of the International criminal court whose constituent was adopted in Rome in 1998, and this decision was based on Syria's care to develop the international law and its commitment to international legitimacy and the UN charter.
Syria's permanent representative at the UN Mikhael Wahba represented Syria by signing this agreement and therefore number of countries which had already signed it is 117 while countries which have not signed it totaled 23.
Among other important items of the agreement is standing against the process of transferring people from and within the occupied lands, and bringing in settlers to replace original population who are under occupation.
