Lahoud discuss with Berri economic situation, Israel violations against Lebanon

The Israeli warplanes on Thursday once again violated the Lebanese airspace especially the South lebanese areas. The Lebanese president discussed with the speaker of parliament Nabih Berri conditions in South Lebanon in light of the Israeli escalation and latest developments concerning regional condition.

Lahoud also discussed with Berri steps that are taken at the level of dealing with the economic situation in the country and the importance of coordination and cooperation between the executive and the legislative authorities.

Earlier in the day, the Lebanese president met with former Lebanese foreign minister Fuad Butrous. Syrian official sources said that Butrous informed President Lahoud about the results of his visit to Damascus where he was welcomed by President Bashar al-Assad..

On the other hand, the Lebanese prime minister Rafik al-Hariri stressed his government's support to any practical steps that would promote the sector of Information technology.

During his meeting on Thursday with the representatives for a group of international and local companies on information technology on Lebanon's persistence to be always competitive in advanced scientific sectors.
