Palestinians celebrate partition anniversary of Palestine

A demonstration was held on Wednesday in al-Yarmouk camp in Damascus on the 52nd anniversary of partitioning of Palestine and the declaration of November 29 as a day of the Arab solidarity with the Palestinian people. The demonstration was led by Palestinian officials, Syrian heads of people's organizations and activists.
The demonstrators took to the main streets of Damascus holding Syria and Palestinian flags and raising pictures of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The demonstrators called on the UN Security Council and the international organizations to urge Israel to stop its practices against the unarmed Palestinians. They also stressed continued militant struggle of the Palestinians against the Israeli forces in order to liberate the occupied lands.
