Southern local elects undertake study trip to US

A delegation of local elects from Morocco's southern regions undertook a study trip to a number of US cities and counties to learn about US local management.
The study trip is part of a convention between the USAID and the southwestern region of Souss-Draa. It features lectures by US experts on local management, transportation, waste collecting and treatment, security, human resources, infrastructure maintenance, education, water management, municipal services and community participation in development projects.
Moroccan local elects also attended work sessions with local councils of several US counties and visited social and economic facilities in the states of Florida and Arizona.
