The Muslim brothers group in Sudan have decided to take part in the next parliamentary elections in coordination with the ruling national congress and several other parties. The secretary general of the Muslim group al-Sadeq Abdullah Abdul Majid said in a statement to the Sudanese daily al- Sahafh issued on Friday that it was " agreed to take part in the elections in certain circles, which are called " reconciliation circles" between the two said parties and several parties including one party from Southern Sudan.

The police chief in al-Riyadh district announced on Friday that an explosion took place in a car suspected to have carried an explosive charge, adding that this resulted in killing one person and wounding another. The police director said that the car which was driven by a person together with his wife and both of them are British nationals exploded while being in one of al-Riyadh streets. He added that the husband died while the wife left the hospital after receiving necessary medical treatment.
