Relief operations resumed in Sudan
Sudan, Politics, 11/17/2000

Relief organizations have resumed their work in the Sudanese province of Kasla (east Sudan) following a one- week cessation due to the attacks carried out by the rebel led by John Garang against the capital of the province last Wednesday.

Sudan's minister of state Shoul Dinq said that most of the world organizations which informed the governments of their desire to withdraw, have resumed their humanitarian activities on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the Sudanese security authorities in Jabal Mikram area at Kasla province found on the Eritrean- Sudanese borders more than 20 bodies from the rebel forces which had used Jabal Mikram as a cover for it during its withdrawal from the city of Kasla.
