Sudan for boosting national reconciliation efforts

Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir has declared that an agreement is near with the Ummah party led by former prime minister al-Sadeq al-Mahdi on a program that pushes forward the march of reconciliation, along with urgent efforts with the democratic federation party.

The Sudanese daily al-Rai al-Am issued Thursday in Khartoum said that during his meeting with the Sudanese community in Doha where he took part in the 9th Islamic summit, the Sudanese president stressed that the government's continued pursuit of peace through dialogue and also through power to deter the enemies of peace.

On the other hand nine persons were killed and 15 wounded of whom 5 are seriously wounded when a train collided with a coach at Mayo district to the south of Khartoum on Wednesday.

The Sudanese dailies said on Thursday that the train which comes from Wedmadani to Khartoum collided with the coach which was moving on its track.
