Lahoud gets a message from Putin

The Russian President Vladimir Putin has stressed that his country will continue its effective efforts to reach a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, according to UN Security Council resolutions with the aim to consolidate peace, security and stability for Lebanon and other countries and peoples in the region.
In a written message to the Lebanese President Lt. Gen. Emil Lahoud, conveyed by the Russian ambassador in Beirut on Thursday, the Russian President expressed his conviction that the friendship and co-operation relations which traditionally link Lebanon and Russia will continue and proceed successfully for the interests of the Lebanese and Russian peoples.
