Barak presides over a security meeting

The Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak has presided immediately after his return back on Wednesday at dawn at Tel Aviv over a security meeting including his senior aides and ministers to discuss the new measures he had instructed to oppress the Palestinian uprising.
On Wednesday evening Barak presided over a session for the mini israeli cabinet for security and political affairs to discuss means and ways of the Israeli army implementation of new military measures.
Barak also held contacts with the Israeli army chief of staff and heads of security departments and he was acquainted with latest security developments, the Israeli radio reported.
Meantie, Israel's foreign minister Shloumo Bin Ami said on Wednesday that the wave of violence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reminds of the activity of the Lebanese resistance against south Lebanon in confrontation of the Israeli forces before its withdrawal from the south in May in what it seems an Israeli introduction to escalating acts of oppression against the Palestinians Intifada.
Bin Ami threatened to take new measures to oppress the Intifada. He told the Israeli radio that there are many ways of preventing violence in the Palestinian territories.
