Cohen holds a Middle East tour

The US defense secretary William Cohen started on Wednesday a tour on the Gulf region and the Middle east.
This visit, which is the first Cohen holds to the region since the attack in the US warship " USS Cole on October 12, at a time when the US forces were put into a state of alert because of threats of new attacks.
Cohen will visit Kuwait, Bahrain, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Israel and will meet their leaders.
Cohen had postponed this visit which was due on Monday just for one day.
However, the US forces in the region where put on alert after exploding the US warship Cole at Aden port in Yemen but this " state of alert" was alleviated since then in Bahrain, where the American fifth fleet is stationed.
