Saddam Hussein: 6 million Iraqis ready to fight for Palestine

The Iraqi President Saddam Hussein said on Friday that more than 6 million Iraqis have registered their names to volunteer for fighting with the Palestinian uprising against the Israeli forces.

In a message he addressed to the Iraqi people, President Saddam added that the number of volunteers until November 10th reached 6,607.306 volunteers of both sexes.

He announced that volunteering door " is considered close today ( Friday) as the last day to register the name of the volunteers."

The Iraqi president continued in his message " when we announced, representing Iraq's stand, people and leadership to open the door for volunteering, we knew that the people of Iraq are psychologically and intellectually prepared and are practically ready to fight for the sake of Palestine "from the Sea to the river and Jerusalem above all."
