Princess Lalla Meryem attends Verdi's La Traviata

Morocco's Princess Lalla Meryem attended in Rabat Thursday night at the city Mohammed V Theatre "La Traviata" staged in commemoration of the centennial of Giuseppe Verdi's death.
The Moroccan Philharmonic Orchestra, the National and the Rabat choirs participated in the performance of Verdi's masterpiece inspired from the works of Alexandre Dumas.
The Italian ambassador hailed coordination between his embassy and the culture and communication department which made the event possible.
La Traviata's sucess and appeal have not abated for 150 years and the Moroccan Opera lovers have two more opportunities to attend it on Friday and Sunday, the theatre manager said.
