Mubarak - Arafat talks
Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 11/9/2000

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak Wednesday held a tete-a-tete session of talks with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat at the presidential headquarters. "Mubarak-Arafat talks concentrated on the latest development in the Palestinian territories and the continued Israeli aggressions on the unarmed Palestinian people."

Later on, talks were joined, on the Egyptian side, with Presidential Political Advisor Osama EL Baz.

On the Palestinian side, talks were attended by Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee Mahmoud Abbass (better known as Abu Mazen), Culture and Information Minister Yasser Abdu Raboh, Chief negotiator and local government minister Saeb Erekat, Palestinian Ambassador to Egypt Zohdi AL Kedra and Arafat' advisor Nabil Abu Redinah.

Talks came before Arafat's heading for London and Washington for talks with US President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, an official statement said.
