FAO manager meets royal advisor

Director general of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Jacques Diouf, who is currently on a visit to Morocco, conferred in Rabat Wednesday advisor to King Mohammed VI, Mohamed Meziane Belfkih, on cooperation between Morocco and the UN organization in matters of agriculture and rural development.
Diouf was received earlier Wednesday in Marrakesh by King Mohammed VI and met in Rabat Prime Minister, Abderrahmane youssoufi.
Diouf is due to visit this Thursdsay an irrigation project in the region of Fez, some 200 Km north east of Rabat, covering a 15,000 hectare area. The project is part of the Moroccan irrigation program that enabled to ensure irrigation of one million hectares.
