Arab justice ministers resolved to bring authors of crimes against Palestinians before justice
Regional-Palestine, Politics, 11/8/2000

The council of Arab justice ministers expressed resolve on Monday to put on trial authors of crimes against Palestinians and those responsible for the carnage against Palestinians, calling for an international protection of Palestinians.

In a statement released at the end of their meeting in Cairo, the council hailed "the intifadah (popular uprising) of the valiant Palestinian people against Israeli occupation forces." The ministers also called for the "emergency measures to ensure Palestinian people an international protection and the implementation of the UN human rights commission call for a neutral international fact-finding commission."

The Arab states, the statement goes on, will try, in conformity with international law, all those who were behind the atrocious carnage and the barbarous perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
