Lebanese president meets with Kuwaiti finance minister

Lebanese President Emil Lahoud on Tuesday received the Kuwaiti minister of Finance Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, currently visiting Lebanon.

Discussions dealt with means of facilitating providing financial aids to Lebanon. Following the meeting, the Kuwaiti minister said that the " future is very bright and that aid will find their way to the Lebanese citizens." He expressed hope that work progress will be accelerated so as several projects to be built in Lebanon.

Lahoud poke yesterday according to the LNA "the importance of maintaining financial and currency stability in Lebanon, since such stability is the basis for the rise in Lebanese economy and for economic and social stability. He also indicated that the laws and regulations that govern the financial and banking affairs in Lebanon form a basic guarantee to preserve the role played by Lebanon in this respect. This, in addition to their remaining as important factors in attracting Arab and foreign capitals and investments that allow for Lebanese economic growth and development."

The Kuwaiti minister explained that President Lahoud asked him to convey a message to the ruler of Kuwait and to the crown prince.
