Kuwaiti media chairperson resigns

The chairperson of the Kuwaiti News Agency KUNA Iqbal al-Ahmad on Monday gave her resignation after 23 years of work in the field of the media, over not having " harmony with certain measures and environments in Kuwait."
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Qabas issued on Monday al-Ahmad said: " Each of the general political, media and press environment, does not know what he wants from the other, nor understands what the other needs." She added that the reason behind that is that because there is no clear cut line to be followed and to be under its umbrella.
She explained that working in the field of the media need a " clear vision besides the freedom of the press," noting she has taken the decision to quite because she can no more cope with these matters.
