Saudi Arabia extends $ 30 mln emergency aid to Palestine

Saudi Arabia extended on Sunday an emergency assistance worth $ 30 Million to the Palestinian authority, said a Palestinian diplomatic source here.
"It is an emergency assistance to support the Palestinian authority in facing the economic blockade imposed by Israel."
Saudi Arabia had pledged to pay $ 250 million to two Palestinian-support funds decided during the last Arab extraordinary summit last October 21-22.
The summit set up "Al-Aqsa fund," worth $ 800 million dedicated to Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and another "Al-Quds Intifada Fund" worth $ 200 million to help families of Palestinian martyrs and to the education of their children.
Kuwait announced a $ 150 million contribution and Bahrain a contribution of $ 3 million.
