Palestinian government refuse Christopher as chairman of fact finding committee on Israeli practices
Palestine, Politics, 11/6/2000

The Palestinian government on Sunday announced its rejection to appoint former US Secretary of State Warren Christopher as chairman of the fact finding committee and the Israeli brutal practices against the Palestinian citizens in the occupied Arab lands.

The Palestinian government attributed its rejection by saying that Christopher used to have a key post in the American administration and was known for his stances in backing Israel, according to the Israeli radio.

The radio added that among the political figures the Palestinian and Israeli sides agreed its membership in the committee were the two members of the US senate George Mitchel and Warren Rodman, former Turkish President Suleiman Demirel, Norway's foreign minister and the EU representative for foreign affairs Javier Solana.
