The world anti-torture campaign, sponsored by the London-based Amnesty International, was officially launched in Morocco, it was announced Thursday in Rabat.

The campaign, dubbed "Contribute to Eradicating Torture," revolves around three major axes: prevent torture, struggle against impunity, fight discrimination.

The World human rights watchdog defined certain basic guarantees against torture and called governments to implement a 12-item program to avert torture acts committed by state agents.
