Iraq refuses to receive Mauritania's plane delegations representing

the Arab Engineers Union arrived in Baghdad on Thursday to take part in the 17th session of the union's higher council after concluding its works in Damascus on Wednesday, on board of a Syrian plane carrying medicines and foodstuffs in the course of continued aids rendered by Syria to the brotherly people of Iraq.

More than 120 Arab engineers from Lebanon, Sudan, Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Morocco, Palestine and Syria as well as the participating took part in the flight.

At Baghdad's airport, the engineers were welcomed by the secretary of the housing ministry Mawfaq al-Harbi and crowded number of Iraqi citizens.

The Iraqi officials announced that internal air flights will start between Baghdad, al-Mousel and al-Basra as from Sunday.

On the other hand, the Iraqi authorities refused to receive a plane for the Mauritania's airlines carrying aids to Iraq because of relations between the groups which organized the flights and Israel.

Iraqi official sources said that the Iraqi authorities, through its embassy in Jordan to inform those who are in charge of organizing the flight Iraqs rejection. The sources said the Mauritanian delegation includes the chairman of the Mauritania friendship society with Israel.
