For the first time, and investment Bank in Syria

President Bashar al Assad on Sunday issued decree no. 508 for the year 2000 provides for the establishment of a general banking establishment under the name of " Investment bank."
The new firm will be directly linked to the minister of the economy and foreign trade.
It will enjoy a financial and administrative independence and is established with the aim to help the absorption of the flow of funds coming for investment and to meet investors' banking needs.
