Israel asks for more protection to its jailed spy in Egypt

The Israeli foreign ministry has asked the Egyptian authorities to ensure what it called appropriate protection for the Israeli spy held in Egypt Azzam Azzam .The Israeli radio quoted high ranking officials at the Israeli foreign ministry as saying the Egyptian prisons authorities have so far ensured protection for spy Azzam but that was not enough as Egyptian prisoners had recently attacked Azzam inside the prison, after which he was admitted to hospital.
