Ralph Nader says sanctions on Iraq are criminal

US Presidential Green Party nominee Ralph Nader said that about the sanctions imposed on Iraq and their effects on children "This is a criminal international pattern" adding that sanctions effect the people and not the leaders. Nader said the burden of restraint is more properly placed on the Israelis on the current conflict with the Palestinians " because the events are in the Palestinian territories, and by Israel withdrawing from Palestinian territories, they can lessen the rage." Nader added "I do" support a Palestinian independent state and the right of return to the refugees.
