Continuation of the sanctions threaten olive crop in Israel

The vegatabes and fruits farmers council in Israel warned of damage to thousands of tons of olives in case no labor is available to pick them within a week or 10 days.

The secretary of the council said that "Palestinian workers used to pick the olives during the last years and that the continuation of the security ban on the West Bank and Gaza Strip may lead to damaging 14,000 olive tons."

Israel closed the entries of all the Palestinian cities in the West Bank while the confrontions lasted between the Palestinian youths and the Israeli occupation forces in many areas in the occupied Palestinian lands.
