Israel asks the US for US $ 800 million as urgent aid

Israel has asked the US urgent aids estimated at US $ 800 million to finance a special missile- station for anti- missiles in Israel.
The Israeli daily Haartez said that the aid will be in addition to the annual US military aids which will reach next year US $ 1.89 billion.
Israeli sources said that the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak asked the US President Bill Clinton for extra financial aids during their meeting in Sharm esh Sheikh last week.
The paper added that the US administration is expected to approve the extra military aids to Israel and this request will be then submitted to the Congress for approval.
In London, the British government announced on Wednesday it will carry out investigations on whether Israel is using British-made military equipment in attacking the Palestinians during the confrontations in the occupied territories.
A British governmental official source said that Britain will also study and reconsider the future of the British weapons sales to Israel.
