Union calls Moroccan labor class to donate 1-day salary to Palestinians
Morocco-Palestine, Politics, 10/25/2000
The Moroccan Democratic Labor Confederation (CDT) has called the Moroccan labor class to donate a one-day salary to the Palestinian people.
The Union's national council, which convened a meeting over the weekend, urged Arab countries "to withdraw their recognition of Israel, close their embassies and liaison bureaus and freeze all forms of contact with the Zionist entity."
The CDT also voiced unconditional solidarity with the Palestinian people and decried "the barbarous acts and Zionist aggressions against Palestinians."
The Union, which is close to the Socialist Union of Popular Forces of Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi, also called for "breaking the unfair embargo imposed on brotherly Iraq and to extend it the necessary backing."
