The first Libyan plane in Iraq with al-Qaddafi's daughter Aesha
Libya-Iraq, Politics, 10/25/2000
Aesha Al-Qaddafi, daughter of Libyan President Muammar al-Qaddafi, has stressed that the Arab summit "as we had expected has failed and brought to us more failures for the ambitions of the Arab masses who have sincere stances towards the cause of Palestine."
In statements to the press in Baghdad on Tuesday she added that the way to liberate Palestine is the Jihad adding "yes for the uprising, no for surrender."
On the other hand, the Iraqi weekly al-Rafedeen quoted Aesha al-Qaddafi as saying that " my father's position towards Iraq and its people has been always clear. He always seeks a fundamental solution to the question of the embargo on Iraq through bilateral and collective meeting at the international circles."
She expressed her confidence that her father will be one of the first Arab leaders who visits the Iraqi capital by air despite the embargo imposed on Iraq.
She also expressed her hope that total lifting of the sanctions will be made. She stressed " the US decisions will not prevent us, nor our planes and we will land at Saddam's international airport despite their noses."
Last Saturday, Aesha al-Qaddafi arrived in Baghdad on board of the first Libyan plane landing in Baghdad, on top of a delegation including 96 persons representing various people, trade unions and people's federations sectors.
