Arab organization to implement projects in Palestine
Palestine-Regional, Economics, 10/24/2000

The Rabat-based Arab Organization for Industrial and Mining Development announced that it will carry out development projects in Palestine.

The Organization is keen on backing Bay Mal Al-Quds (Jerusalem Fund) through implementing projects in the holy city, OAIMD director-general, Tallat Ben Dafer said after meeting Palestinian ambassador to Morocco, Wajih Al-Kacem (Abu Marwane).

Bay Mal Al-Quds was set by the Al-Quds Committee, an off-shoot of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, chaired by King Mohammed VI and in charge of defending the Arab and Islamic identity of the city of Al-Quds.

The OAIMD projects include the construction of an electronics lab and other labs specializing in phone, TV and radio sets. The $ 50,000-worth projects will be carried out in 2001-2002.

The Organization also intends to train Palestinian technicians and small and medium enterprises managers.
