Floods send 123 households out in the cold

This week's floods in Taza province (northern Morocco) left 123 household out in the cold and crippled traffic on several regional roads. Reporting Monday night on last week's rainfalls in the area, TVM television channel said of the 75.08 mm recorded, 42 mm fell on Sunday alone. The heavy rainfalls drove Larbaa river out of its bed flooding the surrounding area destroying property and leaving some of the populations homeless.
Local authorities and civil prevention issued early warnings asking populations to evacuate flood-threatened areas.
