Libya protests on Berri and withdraws its ambassador from Lebanon

Libya's ambassador at Lebanon Mohammed Ali Maria' is getting ready to leave Beirut within days after his government's decision to withdraw him to protest on his being excempted from the invitation of the heads of the Arab and foreign diplomatic missions and its members to attend the parliamentary session held on last Tuesday for electing the head of the parliament, his deputy and members of the council bureau front.

Maria visited yesterday Lebanese prime minister Salim El-Hoss expressing his protest on not being invited to attend the session and he informed him of the decision of Libya withdrawing him from Lebanon.

Maria said that the decision included him only assuring that all the diplomats in the Libyan embassy and in consular department which gives entry visas for the Lebanese - desirous to visit Tripoli will resume their work.

It is known that Nabih Berri the head of the parliamentary council - the head of Amal movement blamed Libya for hiding Imam Mousa El-Sadr.
