King Abdullah heads for the USA

Jordanian King Abdullah II headed for the US on Monday in a visit which will last for several days during which he will attend, together with the US President Bill Clinton the free trade area signing agreement to be held today in Washington.
King Abdullah is accompanied in this visit by prince Faisal Bin al-Hussein, the prime minister Ali Abu al-Ragheb, the deputy premier for the economic affairs and the foreign minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib.
Jordanian political circles said that King Abdullah will be the first Arab leader to be meeting with the US President Bill Clinton in order to brief him with the results of the special Arab summit which stressed its clinging to peace as a strategic option.
