Oualalou calls Europe to invest more in Morocco

Morocco's Minister of economy, finance, privatization and tourism Fathallah Oualalou urged Monday Europe, countries of the free-exchange association namely, to invest more in Morocco.
The minister invited members of a visiting delegation of the association to seize opportunities offered by the new political and economic situation prevailing in the kingdom quoting as major incentives reforms in the investment charter, justice and fiscal code.
He underscored Moroccan efforts to check macro-economic balance and curb budget deficit and foreign debt urging Europe to back endeavors to alleviate the debt burden. He also stopped at the negative impact of the oil price-hike on Moroccan economy and the drop in Euro-value on the marketing of agricultural and other products.
Head of the delegation Marcel Sandoz (Switzerland) said the association was closely watching action by the kingdom to modernize economy, favor industry and create jobs. He also voiced readiness of his association to enhance partnership with Morocco and back Moroccan integration in the Mediterranean space.
