The Arab summit and Sharm esh Sheikh
Regional, Politics, 10/23/2000
The Lebanese daily al-Anwar said on Sunday, according to Arab sources, that talks during the night session of the urgent Arab summit in Cairo were mostly dedicated to the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Palestinian Presdient Yasser Arafat.
The paper added that Mubarak and Arafat spoke in details about the conditions prevailing at Sharm esh Sheikh meeting, noting that the stand taken by the US President Bill Clinton and the CIA head was different from that taken by the US secretary of state Madeleine Albright and the US ME peace process coordinator Dennis Ross.
