Sudanese campaign to eliminate Polio

The 7th national campaign to eliminate children Polio and Vitamin A deficiency started in Sudan on Sunday under the supervision of UNICEF and the World Health Organization WHO.
UNICEF's executive director Carol Belamy said in a press conference she held on Saturday evening in al-Khartoum that the organization is taking part with Sudan in this campaign and that a sum of US $ 5 million was allotted to eliminate this disease by the fall of year 2005.
