Russia calls for halting the US, UK bombardment against Iraq

Russia has called for halting the US and British air bombardment against the " no fly zones " within the Iraqi territories.
The Russian foreign minister Igor Ivanov stressed during his meeting with the Iraqi minister of culture and information Abdul Khaleq Abdul Ghafour his country ' s unwavering stand for ensuring a rapid solution to the question of Iraq on the International law principles.
The two sides expressed their satisfaction over the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Iraq in various fields. They stressed the desire to develop these relations for the interests of the two peoples, and peace and stability in the Arab Gulf region.
