Cooperation agreements between Canada and Algeria of 700 million dollars

Algeria and Canada signed 12 partnership protocols and agreements of 700 million Canadian dollars.

Signing these agreements came following the meeting which comprised 700 personalities of businessmen and the Algerian and Canadian men of industry.

Pierre Pettigrew, the Canadian minister of international trade, said that the businessmen's meetings in the two countries may contribute in signing other agreements that will enhance the future economic relations between the countries, referring to that the 12 agreements will be added to 9 agreements that were signed on the current October the 2nd whose value are estimated at 570 million Canadian dollars.

Previously, a Canadian business delegation's visited Algeria under the chairmanship of Bernard Landri -- the deputy prime minister the finance and economy minister.
