US military base in Yemen

Yemeni sources said that the US is making arrangements to transfer thousands of the US marines to Aden in a project the US defense department seeks to implement. This project states to establish a permanent military base at Aden Gulf and Bab al-Mandib, the southern entrance of the red Sea.
In a statement to the Kuwaiti daily al-Seyasah, on Thursday, the Yemeni source said that military vehicles composed of warships, plane carriers and almost 10,000 marines will be arriving consequently to Aden in the coming days in the framework of the current US arrangements to have a foothold at Aden Gulf, and Ban al-Mandeb under the " umbrella of chasing the persons who exploded the US warship " Cole."
