Lebanese ambassador warns against Israel's attacks against Lebanon

Lebanon's ambassador to the US Fareed Abboud has warned Israel against launching any attacks against civilian targets in Lebanon.

The Lebanese ambassador said in a statement to CNN that the possibility of Israel's launching an attack against Lebanon will be a flagrant violation to the international law and to moral values.

The Lebanese ambassador indicated that the Israeli soldiers because of which Israel threatens Lebanon were captured on a Lebanese territories as far as Israel does not completely withdraw from South Lebanon, according to UN resolutions.

The Lebanese ambassador added that his government has no information concerning the Israeli colonel held by the Hizbullah. He added that the capture of the three Israeli soldiers was an answer to Israel's continued detention of 19 Lebanese in Israel and this matter will be settled through the exchange of prisoners.
