Egyptian chambers of commerce halt all forms of relations with Israel
Egypt-Israel, Economics, 10/17/2000

The federation of the Egyptian chambers of commerce decided the halting of all forms of dealing with Israel and urged the Egyptian businessmen not to maintain any sort of economic cooperation with Israel.

This was expressed in the special meeting held by the board of the federation of the Egyptian chambers of commerce on Monday. It urged the Arab governments who are linked to trade relations with Israel to immediately and strongly tighten the Arab economic boycott on Israel until it stops its aggression against the Palestinian people and withdraw from all occupied Arab territories.

The chairman of the industry committee of the Egyptian Shoura council Muhammad Farid Hamisi called for boycotting the Egyptian relations with Israel and called on the Egyptian government to stop any economic cooperation with Israel.
