Environment projects for Moroccan - Chinese cooperation

Moroccan minister of city-planning, housing and environment, Mohamed El Yazghi, examined with a visiting Chinese delegation environment projects that could be carried out jointly.

Cooperation could, indeed, cover processing and second use of used water in Ain Aouda and the Bou Regreg river valley in the Rabat-suburbs, drinking-water processing units in sourrounding villages, rehabilitation of the Akrach dumpster and management of environment problems on both banks of the valley.

The two sides will also be trading visits of trainees and experts in water and forest management, environment, struggle against desertification, water-processing, management of natural reserves and dam sea-farming.

The Chinese delegation which stayed in Morocco Oct. 8-12 visited several environment projects and sites of undertakings that could profit from bilateral cooperation.
