Member of the Knesset criticizes forming a national unity government
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 10/16/2000
Abd El-Wahab El-Derrow, member of the Israeli Knesset said that "the Palestinians hope that the Sharm El Sheikh summit would achieve peace between the two parties and stop the blood shedding as well as giving a bigger chance to achieve the peace in the area."
He criticized the trend of the Israeli prime minister toward seeking a national unity government referring that this means the end of the peace process, saying that Israel does not want to form a fact finding committee on the Palestinian - Israeli confrontations because "Israel is responsible for the escalation in the occupied land through Sharon's visit to al-Aqsa (mosque)."
